Double the cheeks.
February 22nd, 2012I met a set of sisters on Saturday who happened to be turning one that very day.
Can we please talk about these eyes?
These sweet, beautiful sisters had a friend about their age.
She was equally stunning. And equally sweet and charming.
I was in baby girl overload the entire time. It’s like a sugar high without the stomachache part. So it was awesome.
And then there were the boys. Oh the boys.
These boys were so sweet to all the little girls.
And those little girls could not get enough of them.
This family was so in love with each other. Everyone was kind and helpful.
And everyone wanted their chance to snuggle those sweet babies.
Until they had cake.
Then it was hands off.
Well. Mostly hands off.
What’s up with that?
Do you see those little bits of frosting in her hair and eyelashes?
A party isn’t a party without some icing in one’s hair and eyelashes. And man, was it a party!
Ellie Boo
February 21st, 2012Here is Ellie Boo. If you are paying attention to her visual clues, you will notice that she and Pop are telling you it’s her birthday and she is 4.
Ellie invited Gran, Pop, Great Gran and I to her party. Which was an all day event beginning at the aquarium.
There were lots of new things at the aquarium. Things that needed to be pointed out.
And touched with two fingers. That’s the rule you know, you can only use two fingers.
Ellie is very good with directions.
After the aquarium we met up with Ellie’s paternal grandparents. I can’t remember what she calls them, much to my own shame. I feel like it’s Grandmama and Granddad… can you remind me, Sparkly Jennifer Teeter? We all had pizza and heart shaped bread sticks.
Followed by cupcakes with frosting.
And smooches.
After pizza we all went our separate ways for a while, I went to shoot another awesome birthday celebration and they all went in the hopes that Ellie would nap.
She did not.
But she was surprisingly not cranky for such an eventful day. A little wound up I supposed, but still the calmest 4 year old I know. But then, I’m biased because she’s my niece.
PS I would like her pink elliephant jommies please.
