For the cats

Last year I noticed we had a family of humming birds around the house. This year, I decided we should feed them, you know so the cats can watch.

It’s surprisingly cheap to feed a humming bird family.

It’s also remarkably easy.

The pouring of the red sugaryness was not as easy.

But I did it. And have added a skinny funnel to my shopping list.

Feral Beasts.

Because of the crazy lady next door, we have a lot of feral cats in our neighborhood.

Which means that our backyard box farm is sometimes treated like a littler box.

Frustrating and gross when I’m still protecting the seedlings and things.

Then I remembered a post I read a while ago but I can’t remember where so I can link it back. Anyway, the post talked about putting forks in the beds to keeps the animals out.

The beds look a little strange now with ghost cages fro the squash and forks all over the place.

But it’s working. And it’s easy and cheap and not damaging to anything or anyone. So I’ll take it.
